Count words without uploading the draft
How to use it
Paste text or open a .txt, .md, or .docx file. The page reports words, characters, paragraphs, and lines. English words are split on spaces. Each Chinese or Japanese character counts as one word. A .docx contributes body text only. Headers, footers, text boxes, and comments are not counted. Files over 5 MB for .txt or .md, or over 20 MB for .docx, are refused. The count stays in this browser. Nothing is uploaded. The example “Delivery: 10 days” plus the three characters 交付期 shows the two rules at once. This is not the Word studio’s compare tool. It does not highlight a revision.
The file stays in this browser. NexTool does not upload it and does not keep a copy after you leave the page. Download the result and check it before you send it on. If the tab runs out of memory, the job stops and the original is still the one on your computer.
